To users who already had the "FF"-version it does not make a difference in terms of cost of upgrading, people with aps-c cameras that used the "cheap" version of DXO now will either need to upgrade to the "Elite" version, or "upgrade" to the "Essential" version - and loose a few features they had in version 9 in the process. From version 10 on that difference no longer exists - both versions now fully support all cameras, but when you buy the Elite version you get more features. They thus have changed their marketing approach: in the past they had a difference in pricing between the FF supporting version and the "cheaper camera version".
